Terms and Conditions

The Big Bang competition is operated by Daniel Marks Recruitment Ltd (‘DM’), for a limited period (the ‘Competition’).  This competition is open only to entrants aged 18 and over, eligible and available to work in the UK on the dates of the internship. The decision of the judges is final and DM shall bear no liability in connection with the Competition, any entries, statements or the decision of the judges. DM assumes no responsibility (whether financial or otherwise) or liability for any injury, loss or damage incurred as a result of entry to the Competition or any use or reliance upon the information and material contained within or downloaded from its website and marketing collateral.

These Terms and Conditions govern entry to the Big Bang competition as operated by Daniel Marks Recruitment Limited to individuals seeking an internship in London (the 'Competition') subject to the following:

  1. Entrants must have reached their 18th birthday by October 1st 2016, and be eligible to work in the UK for the duration of the internship.
  2. The winner must be available to work in London for six consecutive weeks from November 2016, at such address to be notified in writing by Daniel Marks Recruitment Ltd (email shall suffice), and shall be required to attend such address during normal business days and hours.
  3. The Company where the internship is hosted (the 'Company') will pay the London Living Wage of £9.40 per hour.
  4. All applications meeting the criteria in these terms and conditions will be considered (subject to clause 11 below).  No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are lost or delayed, or which are not received for any reason.
  5. Finalists will be contacted once selected and may be invited to meet the judges (who shall comprise employees of the Creative Agencies, employees of Daniel Marks Recruitment Ltd and such other relevant parties as Daniel Marks Recruitment reasonably decides) in London at their own expense and complete further individual tasks in front of this judging panel.
  6. Copyright of all entries belongs to Daniel Marks Recruitment Ltd and scripts, submissions and entry documentation will not be returned. By entering the competition the entrants and the winner agree to participate in (and that their entries may be used in) such promotional activity and material as Daniel Marks Recruitment Ltd may reasonably require, and revoke all rights and title to their entries.
  7. The competition winners will be contacted directly by an employee of Daniel Marks Recruitment Ltd.
  8. The judges' decision is final.
  9. Daniel Marks Recruitment Ltd reserves the right to change the judges, participating Creative Agencies, dates, locations or timings of the Competition at any time prior to the announcement of the winner.
  10. All entrants agree that ‘Big Bang’, 'Daniel Marks' and the Daniel Marks Recruitment Limited name, logo, descriptions and all images are copyrighted materials of Daniel Marks Recruitment Ltd and cannot be reproduced or altered without express consent.
  11. Daniel Marks Recruitment Ltd regrets that due to volume of entries, although best attempts to respond to all applications will be made, it may not be possible to respond to or acknowledge every entrant.
  12. Any entries containing plagiarised material, material which is subject to or protected by any relevant copyright laws in any jurisdiction, entries which are incomplete and any entries which in Daniel Marks Recruitment Ltd’s reasonable opinion (or the reasonable opinion of the judges) is inappropriate, unsuitable, defamatory or discriminatory shall not be considered for the Big Bang competition.
  13. Daniel Marks Recruitment Ltd has no affiliation with or to any of the judges, the Princes' Trust or the Companies (including Frisbee, Nerf or Aerobie) outside the parameters of the Competition (the 'Third Parties') and further, does not endorse or promote any statement made by or on behalf of any Third Party in relation to the Competition.
  14. All internships are subject to the acceptance and agreement of the designated Creative or Marketing Director (or other senior staff member) of the Company which is participating in the Competition.  This shall include any legal or regulatory requirements such Company may normally impose on prospective interns or employees.
  15. Daniel Marks Recruitment Ltd shall bear no liability in connection with the competition, any entries, statements or the decision of the judges.
  16. Daniel Marks Recruitment Ltd assumes no responsibility (whether financial or otherwise,) or liability for any injury, loss or damage incurred as a result any entry to the Competition or of any use or reliance upon the information and material contained within or downloaded from its website in connection with the competition.
  17. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Daniel Marks Recruitment Limited does not exclude any liability expressly prohibited by law.
  18. Daniel Marks Recruitment Ltd respects the privacy of all entrants and confirms it will comply with all applicable laws in relation to data retention, processing and storage within the UK.
  19. Submission of an entry will include deemed acceptance of these Terms of Conditions.
  20. These terms and conditions and the Competition are subject to the laws of England.
